Poll: Which Film Should Win the Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award?

Though it feels as though we've just passed the glory of the Golden Globes, it's now time to look ahead -- to the Academy Awards. The nominations were announced Tuesday morning, and the category for Best Writing -- Adapted Screenplay has a strong selection of book-to-film gems. In "127 Hours," Aron Ralston (James Franco) finds himself trapped beneath a boulder for days as his survival instincts come up against his own human nature in the film based on the book Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Ralston. Aaron Sorkin's "The Social Network," adapted from the book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich, follows the story of Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) and the creation of Facebook. Pixar's "Toy Story 3" continues the animated saga of Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), as their "lives" take an unexpected turn ... into daycare. The Coen Bros' "True Grit," based on the novel by Charles Portis, tags along on the journey of Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) as she seeks vengeance for her father's death. And the 2010 Sundance darling "Winter's Bone," based on the book by Daniel Woodrell, follows another young woman, Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence), on a journey of her own -- to find her father in an effort to save her family's home. Which of these films do you think should receive the Oscar® for Best Adapted Screenplay? Is there a film that was overlooked? Tell us here.

The Eighty-Third Academy Awards will be hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway and will air live on Sunday, February 27, 2011, on ABC.
