The long-awaited new adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's classic novel Anna Karenina is finally in theaters. Though many have tried, no one has truly mastered the movie that brings this story of an unhappily married woman named Anna Karenina and her doomed affair with the dashing Count Vronsky to theatergoing audiences. This latest version, though, is the result of the teamwork of director Joe Wright ("Hanna," "Atonement") and screenwriter Tom Stoppard ("Shakespeare in Love") -- so we're counting on its brilliance. Not only does "Anna Karenina" have the behind-the-camera dream team on its side; the film also stars Adaptation It Girl Keira Knightley ("A Dangerous Method," "Never Let Me Go") as Anna Karenina and one of our favorite character actors, Jude Law ("Sherlock Holmes") as Karenin, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Savages," "Albert Nobbs") as Count Vronsky.

When it comes to seeing "Anna Karenina" on the big screen, one of the things we're most excited about is what we're sure will be its aesthetics, with cinematographer Seamus McGarvey at the helm.
