Someone on Reddit just lost a bet to their sister! It looks like some of the shots in "Les Miserables" weren't just  repetitive; they were exact copies. You tell me: Was this a meaningful artistic flourish, or was the studio just cutting corners during production?

The granddaughter of Jack O'Mara -- Josh Brolin's character in the recently released "Gangster Squad -- has stuff to say about the portrayal of her grandpa in the movie, particularly the sensationalism of gun violence. No matter how many bullets whiz across the screen in the movie, she wants to set the record straight: "The real Jack O’Mara fired his gun once. And only once." I guess Hollywood thinks a true story about detectives who use their brains to bring criminals to justice just wouldn't sell tickets.

The fourteenth and final book in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series was published last week. Here's a great roundup of what the critics have to say about the book, which was posthumously credited to Jordan (who died in 2007) and co-authored by Brad Sanderson. All those loose ends better be tied up! Fans who were desperate for J.K. Rowling to continue the Harry Potter series, take a look at this decade-spanning sprawl of characters (and authors) and ask yourself: Is this really where you'd want to end up?

The fact that Michael K. Williams -- who most people know from "The Wire," but who had a great cameo in the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road -- is playing Ol' Dirty Bastard in an upcoming biopic is old news. New, however, is a clip of him performing in character at a recent Hurricane Sandy relief benefit. Wonder what the rest of the Wu-Tang clan things?
