Sony Pictures' Hannah Minghella has acquired the film rights to Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's 2013 book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to LeadDeadline reports. Television writer/director Nell Scovell ("Sabrina, the Teenage Witch"), who also helped pen Lean In, will write a narrative based on the major themes present in Sandberg's work.

With Lean In, Sandberg started a long-overdue conversation about gender bias in the workplace, encouraging women to support one another, take risks, and learn to sit at the table.

Sandberg has since expanded on the work to include six additional chapters that cater to recent graduates preparing to enter the workforce.

Lean In: For Graduates will go on sale April 8, 2014.
