To those loyal “Veronica Mars” fans out there (your humble writer included), seeing the trailer for the highly anticipated reunion film feels like seeing an old friend again. The sassy sleuth abruptly bid adieu to television in 2007, and was finally revived by the shows creator Rob Thomas, with a little help from 91,585 Kickstarter participants in the most successful campaign the crowd-funding website had ever seen.

As seen in the trailer, Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) has decided to put her gumshoe days behind her, settling for a grown-up job with her stable boyfriend Piz (Chris Lowell). But trouble comes calling when her ex Logan (Jason Dohring) is involved in a murder case, leaving Veronica to flee back to her hometown of Neptune, California, right in time for her high school reunion.

A few months ago, a teaser trailer, mixed with interviews from the cast and creator, gave us eager viewers a glimpse of what’s to come – this full preview does one better, showing more clever zingers from Veronica, more action, and more familiar faces from Neptune High.

The film hits theaters March 14, giving us about two months to suffer with anticipation.
