If your little music lovers are obsessed with American Idol, The Voice or The X Factor but don't quite have the pipes for competitive singing, you might want to remind them that they don't need huge, dramatic voices to write their own songs. Folks like Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan shaped the history of music without flashy outfits, big production or Broadway-ready vocals.
